Three pointers
Three pointers to information found via the ubiquitous Copy & Copyright Diary:
- The Ministry of Culture launched its Cultural Heritage Online website sporting a pretty restrictive copyright notice – even quoting without permission is not allowed. Extremist policy for a website about Japan’s national treasures. More on 文化遺産Online.
- Several links to coverage on the so called 無断引用 case. As is pointed out over at Copy & Copyright diary, quoting does not require permission under the Japanese copyright law.
- Also, it’s good to see that a lot of people worry about the recent move to a import ban on Japanese CDs sold in other parts of Asia. Source: 音楽関係者の声明.
